I’m a 25 year old female working at a very small company (3 people) in the photography industry. My company doesn’t offer anything as far as a 401-k, and I make just enough money for my lifestyle but I know at the rate I’m going I’m not going to have anything to retire on one day.
My question is, where should I start in terms of creating a retirement plan? I know little to nothing about IRA’s, 401-K’s, and where the best places to put or invest my money are. I know it’s crucial to start at this age, and I’m already worried about never being able to retire. I’ve been putting away what little I can in a savings account, but it always feels like I need to pull from it, and it accrues little interest. Is there somewhere I can start putting money away permanently, even if it’s just a little at a time?
