The US government is moving to the cloud and is signing a 10 billion plus contract with one cloud provider to start. They are considering Microsoft, Oracle, and AWS. Google dropped out recently. AWS is the best service and already works with the CIA, but is expensive. Oracle is trying to make up ground and will aggressively low bid to get the deal. Microsoft is building their cloud and they have connections to the government on the software side I’m sure. Who’s going to win this big contract and will the news move the stocks? Decision is announced Friday.
