I use Udemy courses a lot. If I need to learn a new IDE or whatever, Udemy is my first stop. Here's a few tips for getting the best deal possible:
Step 1. Always search in incognito mode. If you search for courses in incognito you will get better deals. Everytime you search it will generate another possible deal for you. Keep on until you hit 94 or 95% discount.
At this point most ppl will buy and think they got the best deal. NOT TRUE. Udemy also structures their deals for the country you live in. If you use a VPN you can knock that price down a lot more! Example. I just purchased a course. The best price I could get it for (I live in Norway) is NOK 120 (US$ 14.50) (that was 94% discount). However, I used to live in South Africa. So I used my VPN to set it back to SA and got offered the same course at ZAR 120. That is NOK 66 (US$ 8.05). I'm pretty sure if you search around you'll find a country where it's even cheaper.
edit: To be clear. I do not spend "hours" doing this. I've bought a total of 7 courses over the last 3 months. It takes me at most 1-2 minutes to find a great deal. In total, I've saved more than US$40 over what would normally be seen as the cheapest price (95% discount) for a few minutes of "effort". If this is too much effort. You are in the wrong subreddit.
