To do lists used to really help with my productivity, but now they make me feel extremely overwhelmed and anxious. They are never ending, I rarely complete the tasks on them, which results in me feeling like a failure. I have read many articles about how to use to do lists to enhance productivity, but it just does not seem to work for me.

However right now I'm looking at these lists and I'm thinking, how much of this is really essential? If I were to die soon would any of this matter? On my deathbed will I be glad I did this? I almost feel like ripping up my never ending list and just proceeding with life without doing the tasks.. because if I have gone on all this time without completing said tasks, they really can't be all that important right?
