Hi all,
so I opened a Chase Sapphire credit last night around 6, and was approved shortly after. My card will arrive in a week.
This morning around 7 I got a text saying there was a ~$15 charge on my card to Amazon Prime. I promptly denied the charge, and called up Chase. The woman who answered was nice, and she kept going "Wow!" and "Do you have it linked to your amaz- wait you don't even have the card."
At the end she says she refuted the charge, said my card is still on the way, and that they'll investigate how whoever got my card info so quickly.
Should I be concerned over this? I am really amazed that it happened this quick. Furthermore I'm amazed that it happened at all, I always check my purchases and this is the first time I've got a fraud warning.
edit: and I forgot to ask, how would this even happened? I assume my card isn't even made yet until the next day or something
