I like to burn candles often and hated to waste the pretty containers so I started giving to a local who makes their own candles. I also hated buying new candles even though I was very cost aware when doing so.
Eventually I did some research and bought a starter kit. I’m pleasantly surprised as how cheap and easy it is to make acceptable candles, certainly good enough for and for simple gifts for friends.
I’ve no intention of selling them but I’m happy to refill my own for cents and give inexpensive gifts. Being frugal doesn’t mean foregoing all things pretty, after all.
