Hi all,
I have 50k euros parked on my saving account yielding a miserable 0.1% before taxes annually. I won’t need this money at least for the next 12 months, so I was thinking to invest it on the financial markets.
Because of the short term horizon and my adversity to price risk, I’ve excluded ETFs and stocks and I was focusing on European bonds with maturity Q4 2019 or Q1 2020.
Checking yields for investment grade bonds and factoring trading fees and taxes, I’ve realised there is little to no return at all, with yields below 0.5% or even negative.
Is there no opportunity at all on the market for folks who are not willing to take a bigger risk?
Thank you.
