As the title says, I'm looking for a backpack I can travel with, go to work with, go to the gym with after work, and for outdoor activities (ie: hiking, camping, etc.). I'm 5'7" 170lbs currently using a Maxpedition Zahar in coyote for outdoor activities, a beat up old Nike backpack that I use for work/gym/travel and a messenger bag that I use for work. I've been looking for a durable bag that I can use for practically everything for the rest of my life.

I've been doing research into bags from goruck, 511, recycledfirefighters, rehose, even looking into getting a second hand usmc daypack to relive the good old days but it wouldn't be very appealing to bring to an office setting. Figure I ask the community for some input on some of these bags and alternative recommendations.

I know these are pricey but when it comes to backpacks quality is definitely reflected in the price. My Maxpedition is still feeling/looking almost brand new even after owning it for nearly 4 years with heavy outdoor use. Instead of swapping between bags throughout the week I'd like one bag I use for all my work and basic active needs. My normal loads for a work/gym day consist of a 15" laptop, 24oz shaker bottle, 16oz thermos, ~30oz food container, 42" umbrella, lifting belt, sweatpants, t-shirt, socks, sneakers, dry bag.

Any insights/recommendations are greatly appreciated.
