Hello PF! I am a 20 year old girl who is having to move in to my SO's parents house due to poor financial decisions. I'm about 8600 or so in debt (4k in credit, 3k in payday loans, 650 in past due utilities, 400 in medical bills, and around 615 owed to friends/family). I'm currently unemployed and my lack of a stable job is what has landed me in this pile of doody. In April I quit my job assuming I would get this other job I was interviewing for, well, I didn't. So I've had little jobs here and there. I will hopefully start a small retail job in the next few weeks and will be beginning prereqs for nursing school. The bright side of this is that I will have few bills whilst living with my SO's mom. The downside is I have no idea where to begin with this debt mountain. I'm wanting to talk to a credit counselor to see if there's anything to do in order to lessen the amount or work out a deal. I'm posting here to see if any of you lovely people have advice for me? Thanks!
