So as the title says I work a full time job that brings in $33,500 a year. My wife doesn’t have a job currently but is looking actively. We have until December 31st to move out of our roommates house as that is when our lease is up. Currently we pay $ 429 total on 2 credit cards, 2 clothing store cards. I bring in $2,000+- a few bucks each month. We have two cars, hers which is almost (3 months left) paid off and mine which is paid off. Car payment $109 Car insurance each month is $200 for full coverage. Gas is $100 Rent is $150 Cell phones for 2 is $113. Our food budget is $0 as we get assistance for that. So our total expenses are: $1,1016

So my question is this; would it be wise to hold off on paying the $429 a month and let us save $1287 in 2.5 months?

Normally I would never try to not pay credit cards but we cannot guarantee that my wife will get a job so we both are at a impasse. We are both concerned about the late fees incurred during the 2.5 months of being not paid.

Any advice?
