I recently started a new job that has an HSA eligible plan but I will not be on it because I am now on my wife’s health plan which is not HSA eligible. I currently have an HSA account that I’ve carried over across two jobs so I understand rolling it over when changing jobs. However, what do I do with it now that I’m in a job but not using their HSA eligible plan? I can leave it where it is, but now that I’m no longer with my old company, my fees aren’t covered anymore. Do I just leave it where it is and eat the fees? Is there like a low fee place to store HSA’s when not with a HSA eligible plan?
