So we bought this house a few weeks ago. On the second floor there was a workshop with a large desk. The large desk was screwed to the wall with 24 2 inch steel screws and when the house was redone in the 70s, they ran the wires AROUND the desk. I removed the desk and tried to carefully put the wires into the wall, but one wall has a stud, the other wall has some sort of steel beam? I cant just put them in the wall.My next step is to create a small 2 inch by 3 inch enclosure for the wires.I can't pull the wires out and re route them, they are stapled throughout the second floor. If I pull walls off I have to get the inspector to come in to verify all my work. I just wanted to put new paneling up.
