This is about a FTSE UK all share ETF (LU0292097747). I bought it for its high yield ~4%

Here is their dividend fact sheet

i bought 200k on April 20 this year

I thought it would be quarterly divs like any other ETF i've invested in before. Just researching now (having noticed i've not had any income) and i see its yearly

Since i bought a few days after the Ex day (april 9) does that really mean in april 2019 i don't get any dividend?

If so - what do i get paid for holding the etf in 2018 - nothing? If i do receive something, when is it paid?

  • if the above was the case, then surely no one would invest in this etf until close to their EX Date

  • if i was entitled to a dividend and sold before april, would the ETF still pay me in april for the time i held the product?

thnx 💖
