I thought I'd share some of my everyday carry gear that I've been carrying for awhile since these items seem to be nice and durable and high quality, BIFL material.
First is my Leatherman Squirt PS4. This has lived in my pocket for the better part of the last year and a half. It's picked up some wear but it still works beautifully. It has a spectacular tool set and still functions 100% as well as it did brand new, despite a year and a half of daily carry and near-daily use. Available here
Second is my Tactile Turn Glider in stainless steel. This has lived in my back pocket for the past 8 months or so and it gets used about as often as the Leatherman, almost if not every single day. I keep a pilot G2 0.38mm refill in it and it writes like a dream. It's built like a tank and is so simple mechanically that it's just about impossible to break. Available here
Lastly is my standard Zippo Lighter. This has lived in my pocket next to my Leatherman for 8-9 months and despite that, the black coating STILL hasn't worn through anywhere on the lighter! I don't use it all that frequently. I mostly just carry it because it's cool, but I've been REALLY impressed with it's reliability and durability, particularly whatever paint is used on it.
