I paid a contractor to wire one Ethernet cable from my basement to the main floor of the house. He left me a fishing wire so that I could pull more cables in the future. Well, now it's the future.Unfortunately, the the fishing wire goes through a horizontal stud (or two) and the hole drilled through it is not big enough for an additional Ethernet cable. I'm looking for advice on how to expand the hole. From the outsideFrom the insideI'd prefer not to cut open drywall and I really don't want to break the fishing wire. The horizontal stud is about 8" below the current drywall cutout and the hole may actually be going through back to back horizontal studs. The larger hole that's in the picture doesn't go all the way though.I was thinking I could use a 90 degree drill attachment with a bit extender to widen the hole? I have hole saws. It would be tough not to cut the fishing line though. Also, I'm not sure if drilling with a bit extender works. Usually I only see people screwing screws in hard to reach places with them. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2xWgakS
