I know a little bit about investing but not too much about my issue in the title of the post.
My wife just left her company and they are offering to buy her shares from her “....par value $1 per share....” but the share price is in the 50’s. I’ve checked online but I find the term “par value” just means par value and not face value. We’re trying to decide if we want to sell or keep the shares and toss them into my IRA. Thanks for the help
