19 almost 20 M here, just about 3 years back I turned pretty minimalist and I'm a big /r/onebag enthusiast for context. To this day I run off of Outlier Runweight t shirts and slim dungarees, pretty much wearing the same thing everyday with 5 tees and 2 pants. Aside from that, I'm probably under 30 if not 25 articles of clothing for various other needs.

But I'm thinking of ditching all this expensive clothing for cheaper/thrifted goods. The only problem is that Merino as well as various other "techwear" (not that mall ninja stuff but like high quality materials, rain repellent, etc) I own does it job very well and the performance is outstanding.

I have found myself being inhibited and conserved so that I don't ruin or mess up my clothes, and the few times it has inevitably happened I get decently upset but think to myself, "Why should I be so concerned about a piece of fabric?"

Ultimately, my question to anyone who has cared to read, should I dismiss the qualities of Merino/tech for a more carefree attitude with poorly performing clothes? ("Cotton is rotten!" to all my outdoorsmen)
