Note: Sorry the images are out of order, having a hard time rearranging on mobile. I think its self explanatory as to which are old-sole and which are resoled.

Not trying to break any rules by indicating the user I contacted for the resole. I am not paid or affiliated with that user in any capacity, just a happy customer.

I recently had my Wolverine 1000 Miles resoled with the Vibram 430 minilug. I was inspired from a post on r/goodyearwelt, and reached out to the OP who did the resole (u/mohavie).

After 7 years of seasonal use (almost daily wear for October - April), they were in poor shape. I honestly can't remember how the holes developed in the bottom, but I neglected them and didnt care for them as I should high quality footwear. These weren't "work boots" (ie I wasnt doing construction or anything), but I'd wear them at least 4 days a week for 10 hours a day. A few trips to the snow, but definitely heavy use in rainy conditions.

u/mohavie did a great job at giving my boots new life! Resole cost about as much as other quotes I'd seen online, if not a little cheaper. Round trip took a little less than two weeks. I could not be happier with the results. Boots were nicely cleaned, and the laces were replaced at no extra cost. u/mohavie provided great customer service along the way, quickly responding to any questions I had via email and keeping me updated with the status of the repair.

Ive read mixed reviews on this sub about peoples feelings of 1000 miles being true BIFL. YMMV, but they meet the criteria for me. I love these boots and look forward to many more years with them.
