
Usually you want to keep the powder coat off of threads for obvious reasons. This is the opposite. This is for an assembly of black pipe (for the supports under a table) which will be screwed together, tacked so it can't unscrew, and then powder coated. Obviously some of the external pipe thread will be exposed. I think painting this would go poorly. The paint would break over every sharp thread edge and then it would rust. So with powder coating, will it cover the threads, or do I need to sand/wire wheel them down a bit first to break the sharp edges? via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2NkvAt3
