A section of road near me is replacing all the guardrail posts with metal, isntead of the old wood ones. There are pallets of the wood just stacked, and they look pretty damn long and thick.Would these be a good candidate for personal use, or are they too saturated with chemicals like lots of railroad ties or phone pole posts? It's the PNW, so they're probably native fir, doug fir, spruce, maple or cedar. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2R4jVOa
