I'm in South America and I noticed most people here seem to be American. I don't know if this would work everywhere or not. I just gave it a shot and it worked.
A have a relatively expensive plan with 7GB data and unlimited minutes. I just called my carrier and asked to switch to the cheapest plan they had. They suddenly came up with this 'new' plan 'on sale', which is exactly the plan I already had, except it cost 50% of what I was paying, and would I like to switch.
