I’ve been looking for a job and I called an agency and they offered me a job for two dollars less than minimum wage in cash so I “don’t have to worry about taxes”. I told them I’d take it just so I could get the address of the company they’d send me to and I applied there in person instead and got hired for $4 more an hour than the agency! I believe they are taking advantage of people who are desperate for work by taking a large cut of the pay and pocketing it and telling them not to worry about taxes. I’m not sure what I can do about this because I don’t want them screwing other people over. What are my options?
