Occasional lurker here. Honestly, I love fashion and clothes but I am easily overwhelmed and am hoping that maybe someone would enjoy giving me some friendly advice or specific clothing suggestions.
As the title says, I need something that is appropriate to be worn to a synagogue in Maryland in November. Some background on what this means if you are unsure:
- Cannot show shoulders
- Cleavage is not allowed
- Dress should hit at the knees or slightly below (preferred)
- $120 or less (preferably much less but I will do what I gotta do)
Even though this dress needs to err on the side of conservative, I still want it to be fun and fashionable. I'm in my mid-twenties, 5'4" 145 pounds and usually waver between wearing an 8 and a 10. I'm somewhere between an hourglass and a pear because my lower belly protrudes slightly, but I have sort of broad shoulders (chest-waist-hips 38"-31"-40"). My skin is very fair and neutral and I have hazel eyes, dark brown hair and a pixie cut. I usually like shift dresses and a-lines and stay away from clingy fabrics to avoid accentuating my lower abdomen.
Any ideas are welcome and appreciated! I'm still trying to figure out what my personal style is so I'm happy to be as adventurous as I can be within the restrictions.
