Hi. I just need your inputs on this. I live a simple life and even aspire a more simpler life each day. I work a dead end job, where often i dont get appreciated, dealing with nasty customers everyday for a pittance. Sometimes I get tired of it and I aspire a much bigger salary to be able to enjoy life more. I am in my late 30's and in my younger days took a college course which I really don't use at all. I live in the UK and I am thinking of going back to uni. But I am poor financially so that means I will have to take a loan (both for tuition and maintenance) if I qualify. Problem is, I don't know if this is gonna be a smart move. I am an eu immigrant living here in uk.
Is it too late to go back to uni? AM I too old? Is it doable? Part-time or fulltime? What if I get burnt out studying and working? Is it worth it? I just want a simple life. I just want to go back to uni so I can find a better job. But at the same time I despise living in the city as it is too crowded and chaotic. If I could just move now to the country, find a cheap rent and work a dead-end job, and just continue living simply, it's also fine with me.
I guess what I'm asking is, in my late 30's will it be a helpful move if I go back to uni and go through he'll again of studying, meeting deadlines, be at the mercy of your professors, just so i can have diploma and find that elusive better job, and all the while I just want to live a simple and less stressful life?
What would you do if you were in my situation?
Any input is appreciated, thank you.
