I was hit with a $13,000 hospital bill from Grady. I had to go to the ER because I had intense stomach pains and thought I had appendicitis. And thought my appendix was going to burst. After waiting hours and hours and hours I finally was taken to get my blood and piss tested. I’m not going to bore you anymore with what happened in the hospital as I basically just waited a whole lot but finally went back to the room and the nurse told me that the CAT scan showed that I did not have appendicitis and that it was probably something viral. So after waiting somewhere around 7 hrs with really bad stomach pains, they basically just told me to go home and rest and I’ll be fine. Bill
After two weeks later I received his massive bill. I am uninsured as my peach care just expired and I’m a 19 year old college student with no clue to how I’m going to be able to pay this off. The financial services is closed right now so I can’t call them right now. But I also don’t know what to say with them. I am very frustrated and confused as to why this bill cost so much. I am very dissatisfied with Grady.
TLDR: Went to Grady thinking I had appendicitis. After a long wait was finally told it was “probably something viral” and was told to go home. Received bill two weeks later and was hit with an enormous sum of around $13,000. Don’t know what to do in this situation as a 19 year old struggling with college tuition.
