My previous 2 flats where almost entirely made of reclaimed wood, custom build shelves, reclaimed couches and pallet beds. It just takes some time to find the supplies, but they eventually, do show up.
Currently I am preparing to go on a camper van trip and I started colecting supplies for a few months. By now I have:
- A wood stove and flute (found separately). It had alot of surface rust so I had to clean it. Both found in home renovation trash bins
-An entire toolbox of good quality tools that a mechanics shop threw away such as wrenches, hex sets, screwdrivers, hammers (I used vinegar and a oil to clean all the rust of the old toolsets, if needed I dissassembled the tools such as the adjustable wrenches).
- Bosch drills (The perfurating one is high end but didnt function. I found in my building entrance. It needed new brushes on the motor so I ordered them and replaced them. The small one with a battery is for screwing but didn't come with the power cable so I had to used one I had around). Both were free.
- Belt sander, given by a neighbour
- 15 sqm of floorboard, unused, found on facebook giveaway
-10sqm of fiber glass insulation, new in box (opened), found on trash. They took 2sqm and threw away the rest.
