First time poster here, long time Redditor though -- I can't seem to find an example of what I want to build myself or buy/modify for this desk-- here goes....(1) I own a Fender Rhodes piano that looks like this: https://ift.tt/2xIjOPg I'm intending to put a table top over it that would fold/hide in the back -- here's how(2) I'd like to create a track/frame that would "more or less" mount in the back behind the keyboard -- this is against a wall. I should mention that I have no clue about the right track hardware I should be using or what I could use in general to make the motion smooth up an down.(3) I would set a large table top into that track so it looks hidden behind the piano.(4) If I wanted to use the table (aka not keep it hidden), I would first pull up the whole table top vertically (so it clears the curved black casing/top of the piano) and then would lie flat across the top of the instruments as a desk surface.(5) I was intending that the legs of the table (not the back mounted area since that should be secured some how once reaching the top position but the part that hangs over the keyboard) would come down/rest on the sides (there is some extra space on the left and right hand side that wouldn't damage the instrument -- you can sort of see it from the pic)Every single search phrase I've used so far (as research) has come up with the wrong results for was I'm envisioning. All I get are table tops that are already mounted on the wall that would be very visible above the piano -- like in a cabinet that would come down with legs that hit the floor. The other result I get are table that swing out in an 90 degree arc so it would smash into the piano or I'd need to constantly move the piano-- that's not an option either.Any ideas or help for what I'm trying to do would be greatly appreciated.A huge thank you in advance! via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2xK1qFJ
