Hey, I really wanted to avoid asking, but I'm realizing there is only so much you can DIY before you have to ask a question lol.So far, I've got my fabric, cut it, got some wooden dowels to be the weight. They look fantastic on their own, however I would like to make them "smart" I've got so far as to have alexa tell my raspberry pi to "do this" and I got the motor to spin. Problem is, the motor is so weak it can't even pull up a string really.https://ift.tt/2xxiJue is what I got, it was more or less to just play with things and if they worked they worked... they did not though lol.I would prefer if I could plug them in for power vs batteries, but if batteries can do they job too that's fine.I don't care about the speed at which they pull up, as long as it isn't crazy slow, I just don't need it fast.It would have to lift about 4-5 lbs in total.Thanks! via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2MXrrHc
