Part of the deal when I bought my house 3 years ago was that central heat and AC would be installed (house was built in 1960 and didn't have AC)Anyway, saturday night the condenser fan shut down and the whole system is now kaput. I got a new fan motor, installed it and it's not working. The wiring on the new motor is just a little differentold motor pic https://ift.tt/2NOAonn motor schematic https://ift.tt/2MSxJwR I'm pretty sure I have the line stuff figured out, but I'm at a bit of a loss as to how this new motor connects to the capacitor. The capacitor has 3 terminals (example pic https://ift.tt/2NQivVl not familiar with house wiring so this is a little bit unfamiliar territory to me right now. If someone could give me a little guidance on how the new motor is supposed to be wired I'd appreciate it.Edit to add: I'm not 100% sure it's the fan motor causing my problem. I just know that when turned on, I could hear it click and eventually the fan motor was getting hot, so I know on some level it was getting power, but not turning. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2Cn0exx
