Hi, I’m 26 and not a US citizen or from US. All monetary values here are in US dollars for simplicity.

My monthly pay is around $1350 which does not include the money sent for retirement. I have a specialised diploma which is a lower standard than a degree. I’m doing a job that I love and am currently finishing my second year here. There are bonuses but a pay raise is rare or at least very little.
I don’t have debt, I don’t pay rent (my SO does). I spend about $750 a month which includes insurance and phone bills. Sometimes more if I have a medical emergency or buying big ticket items like a vacation or an electronic item.

So, on a good month, I save $650. I have about $2000 in savings now but this number keeps going up and then coming down again whenever there is a big ticket item or medical emergency.

Ultimately I want to move with my family to the UK in a few years time but I don’t think I can financially do that. Getting financial help from my family is not possible. I was thinking of going back to study so I can get a better paying job, but I don’t have the money to pay for my studies. Banks’ student loans only offer up to 10x monthly pay and it’s not enough. Also I’ve been debt free all my life and would like it to stay that way.

Here are my current options:
1. Quit and find a temporary higher paying job, pay for degree and get a better paying job in my field in the UK. I was working in sales during my schooling years and earned almost $2k a month.
2. Quit and find a similar job in another company, and ask for higher pay (I really do not like the culture in my current company, boss is sexist and racist).
3. Suck it up, continue to work at current company and slowly save up.
Please offer more options if there are any.
