I just moved back to the U.S. from abroad, and I'm looking to set up my new life here as a relatively simple and frugal one, which leads me to the question: Whic types of household and cleaning products should I buy the generic brands of, and which items should I spend the extra couple of bucks on to go name brand? My mother told me some generic soaps/detergents may be watered down, so it might be worth it to pay more outright. What do you all think?
