We try to reduce waste, but after moving and throwing out our old trash can for a new, smaller one, I'm surprised at the amount of waste we produce. We are using trash bags faster than ever before. Granted, they are a smaller size due to a new and smaller space-fitting trash can, but still--the new bags are weak and flimsy! It's hard to put them in and fill them up, too, because a lot of air gets trapped at the bottom. Once over those hurdles, we tend to pack things densely. We always insure that they are not too full or heavy because no one wants to deal with the spillage.
What do you suggest? I've tried both store brands and some name brands, but I feel like I'm being *too* cheap and not practical. We now live in Chapel Hill, NC and are close to Durham as well, if that helps with store recommendations.
