Hi everyone. I just wanted to share something we are doing to simplify our lives with an almost three year old and a 4 month old. We are leaving the church that has been our home for the last 7 years.
If you have been a member of a church for any significant amount of time, you will understand this is not a decision we arrived at lightly. We are invested, active members, but recently have been feeling disconnected. This is mainly because of the hour (or hour and a half depending on traffic) round-trip it takes to get to church and home again. As you all know, time is valuable.
We are new to this two kids game, and it is hard. Anything that makes life easier, more simple, is good. Driving 30 minutes to church with a screaming baby in the backseat is not good. Driving 5 minutes is better.
So that is what we are doing, leaving our church all the way across the city for one 5 minutes away. It will save us valuable time and greatly simplify Sunday mornings.
