We got married in June, we really wanted to have an outdoor wedding. So we started looking into party tent rentals and the prices were absurd.
To fit our guest list of 130 we were going to have to rent 3 tents, and our cheapest option was $4,200 to rent for the weekend.
So we bought 3 party tents for $4,500. Since the wedding in early June we've rented the tents out three times for $1,500 each time. We managed to help out family friends by lending them the tents for their reunion, saving them a couple thousand as well.
We've now covered our costs on the tents, so we're either a single rental away, or liquidating the tents away from turning profit on the tents.
