If my wife and I both go, my in laws will be guardian of the children and trustee to the estate. As I understand it, the estate would be turned over to the kids when they are adults, age 18. However, I wonder if a large sum of money at they point could be a lot to handle. I am considering writing a clause such that my children receive 50% of their assets at age 18 and 50% at age 30. Anyone try something similar?
