I got some really cool teak midcentury modern table legs at a garage sale for $10. I want to pour a preformed concrete table top and set it on top.I am going to use quikretes countertop mix. It says it cures to 6000 psi. Here is my problem: I was looking into using a fiber mesh instead of rebar. I was worried about the wire wish printing on it since I want it to be about an inch thick. I have a friend who does concrete counter tops and he suggested using the fiber mesh. What I'm worried about is the fiber mesh curling up or down and pushing through the top or bottom of the concrete. But I'm also worried about seeing the wire mesh pattern through the concrete since it's so thin. What is the best method? I have also considered using glass fiber reinforcement. But it seems to expensive for me. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2wbzolW
