Hello,

M29/single. I am planning on getting a 20-25 year term insurance to protect my mother (only dependant) incase something happens to me. Since I don’t have much idea about insurance, please can I get some advice:

  1. Is term a better substitute to whole life insurance? Online most articles say yes.

  2. Is getting a longer term (20-25 yrs) better or worse? Since the premium will remain the same throughout - around $35/month.

  3. Normally what is considered a good plan? Like including permanent disability/accidental death etc? Is there any particular feature I should definitely not miss?

Thank you in advance!
