Hey guys. I'm not sure where to ask this, but hopefully someone here knows.
Over the last few years, I've developed a sensitivity to SLS. Go to your bathroom and check how many of the products in there contain this ingredient. I bet it's all of them, apart from lotion and conditioner. Basically 90% of the personal care aisle is now off limits to me.
I went through a lot of products while I was trying to figure out what was wrong, many of them only used a couple of times. I'm fortunate that I was able to afford this disastrously wasteful process of elimination, but now I have an entire shelf full of nearly untouched, but open, personal care products.
I don't want to throw them in the trash. They're clean, fairly new, almost completely full. But most charities seem to only take sealed products. I completely understand why this is, but... I don't know what to do with this stuff. And I have spent too many years of my life being broke to feel ok about just putting 5 bottles of shampoo and a small purses worth of toothpaste down the drain.
Does anyone have ideas?
