So I am installing laminate flooring and the ends of the boards have a tongue, groove or sawed off for an edge. My question is what do I do if I run out off either tongue or a groove?example:I have a board, lets call it A, and I am at an edge. I need a tongue to connect it so I cut a piece from A with the tongue and enough timber to fill it up. For the second line of my floor I need to connect the preceeding board with a groove. Now A has a fairly large size remaining with no tongue or groove to connect. So what am I supposed to do with it?Can I just cut off the tongue off the second to last board, in the line line, and chop off a piece from A to fir it?
