I realize that it is good to be able to fix things - laptop, phones, bikes, microwaves, pressure cooker, heater, xbox, whatever. But I have never done any, and I don't just have a bunch of broken stuff laying around to practice. Also for electronics I would just be scared about making it worse/hurt myself since I won't know what I am doing. I also want home maintenance skills for my future home - but again I feel like since I don't know anything I might make things worse, and I don't have anything to practice on.
Handy people, how did you become handy? How can ignorant people like me start?
