Hey guys,
I just bought a car on 8/17 and while I was there, I was told that there was a $1000 cash rebate for active military if I finance through Toyota. I took the rebate and financed through them. Fast forward 5 days, I receive a call from the finance office and they said that they made a mistake and that the rebate is actually only $500. They asked if I wanted to come back and resign the contract or make up the difference.
I told them that I would not have financed through them had I known that it was only $500 since their APR was higher than my credit union.
I'm just wondering if there is anything that they can and will do to get their $500 back? They also owe me a second key and I now suspect that they will give me an issue with obtaining this key if I do not pay for their mistake.
