So I've had an abatement company come to my house and remove about 330 sq feet of asbestos tiles in my basement. I paid them to get up the tiles and the mastic was advised that it be left in place and covered up.I've been searching the internet high and low for an asnwer as to how I'm supposed to seal this stuff completely. I mean, paint won't do it (I've read) as it won't adhere to the mastic and the mastic will bleed into the paint and turn the whole thing into a tacky mess.At some point, I would like to finish the basement completely, finish the demo (see pic: the wall to the right will be taken down and pushed back more, all exterior walls will be insulated and drywalled) and would likely put carpet down over that, but not sure if I want to fork up the money right now and skip a few steps just to cover the mastic now. I mean I don't want to be walking on this too much as it is. Hope someone can help! Thanks.https://ift.tt/2OzfQjI via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2AvxnGz
