I figured maybe people could use a guide to "Bifl" Chef knives. I posted this a while back, but saw a few knife posts and thought people might find it useful. I used quotation marks for BIFL because when you sharpen a knife by definition you're taking off metal and yadda yadda yadda.

100$ Ferrum Reserve Chef's Knives This knife is amazing. I don't know a ton about the steel admitadly, but I got it somewhat more recently and just love it. Joy to hold in your hand and to use. There is also a matching paring knife which is also awesome. Keep in mind that it's got a wooden handle, so don't leave it in water or it'll warp and you'll probably need to oil it like once a year.
