I picked up a used armchair from a neighbor. It's in really nice condition, but it's small/short and missing the legs, so I went to the thrift store and picked up four furniture legs that would raise it to about the right height. The screws on the legs, however, are smaller than the inside of the four holes on the bottom of the chair. (The screws are about 3" long and do fit all the way into the chair. I'm not sure how deep the chair holes are.) There is no threading or metal bracket on the chair, just a hole.I've Googled this and the recommendation was T-nuts (?) but the guys at the hardware store said no. The solutions they sold me (epoxy and something else I don't remember) didn't work. Honestly, I don't think they were listening to me and were more focused on making fun of me for repairing a used chair.I'm not handy and I don't have a lot of tools (a screwdriver set is about it). I'd like to get this set up in the easiest/quickest way possible. Is there some kind of caulk-like filler or plastic wedge or something that I can use to lock the screws on the legs into the holes? via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2MGNvtv
