I don’t think there’s a right or wrong answer to this question, but I am curious about what other people do.
I live in a small town that is home to some amazing small businesses. It’s also home to a decent sized, division II school that has brought in bigger businesses like Walmart, Lowe’s, etc- we don’t have everything though.
Anyway, I used to buy my deodorant at a local store for $10. That’s pricey, but I was shocked to even find my favorite deodorant anywhere remotely close to where I lived. Some months later, I discovered that Walmart now sells this natural deodorant for about $4-$5. That’s a big difference, but it made me wonder if it was enough to stop supporting small business.
So that got me curious about what other people do. I know that there is no right or wrong answer because everyone life, town, income, etc are different. Just looking for discussion and opinions ☺️ do you pay more to support small? Are there certain situations where you do and where you don’t?
