I'm trying to figure out the a good way way to add stairs to my existing deck without breaking too many codes. I'm constricted by the presence of slope and retaining wall hence the choice of the winder stairs. Here's what I'm dealing with and approximate mockup of what I'm trying to achieve: https://ift.tt/2zWR5e4 researching most of the plans I saw for winder stair had a wall to support the outside. I don't have that so question number one - how can I connect points A and B and provide support for top two stairs.Second question - would it be sufficient to support this structure to add two concrete blocks (same as I have now) and treated 4x4s for the inside newel and outside corner (point B)?Thanks!p.s. For the inside support I'm planning to mortise threads to the newel p.s.s. Deck was built before we bought the house. Can't tell when but supports are quite old. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2uzEkAY
