Obviously YMMV with different machines, but as a general rule what would be reasonable? I read a lot of people leave the aircon when they leave the house since it takes up energy to cool off a hot room when you come back anyway, but there has got to be a limit to this. For example wouldn't leaving it on for 8 hours use more energy than cooling up a warm room?
