So I am building a recessed fireplace feature wall with faux stone. I already installed the faux stone on the sides and cut them so they have a blunt edge instead of mitring then at a 45 degree angle like I should have done . I thought originally they the gap between the the stones on the front and the sides would be minimal because the front was supposed to overlap the blunt cut. However because of the texture of the faux stone the joint is not flush and there is a gap, which looks unsightly to me.I haven't put the stone on the front of the fireplace wall yet, just both sides. I can't remove the sides without damaging the stone so I would like the avoid doing that. Is there a compound I can buy to seal the gap and when it dries would look natural? Or is better to make some small cuts to fill the gap?The stone is a off white cream. The gap isn't as bad as this, but this is a similar texture of stone :https://ift.tt/2Kwex6K via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2lWKczE
