Hey everybody, it's been a long time since I've visited BIFL, but I just received my jacket back from Filson repair and I figured you guys would want to know how it went. I've had the jacket for about 2.5 years and I wear it almost every day. It's a great jacket that fits me perfectly and is broken in very comfortably. Over the years, due to friction, I noticed small rips and tears appearing on the inside of my arms as well as heavy damage around the rim of the cuffs. Instead of filling out the form online and paying for shipping, I headed into the Filson store on 6/25 and the person working at the desk helped me fill out the form and sent the jacket back to Seattle for me. I received email confirmation the next day when the package was picked up. I continued to receive shipping updates as the package made its way to Seattle. The package was processed on 7/2 and Filson sent me an email explaining the return policy and what they generally cover and don't cover. On 7/6 I received an email that the repair was complete and they would send me tracking information shortly. Although I did not receive any tracking information, I was pleasantly surprised to find the package waiting for me when I got home today. All in all, the process took less than a month. The repair looks very sturdy, they added new fabric along the insides of the sleeves and along the rim of the cuffs. They darned a few small holes as well. I am very pleased with the outcome.
