I have a couple financial questions about my fiance and me. Appreciative of any advice we can get.

I'll try to give pertinent background info: He is 39m, I am 30f. He was diagnosed with stage 4 kidney cancer in April, and has not yet responded to treatment. He is on my health insurance which we pay via COBRA because I lost my job shortly after his diagnosis (I added him to my aetna since it was the only way to get into UTSW, a leading hospital for his cancer in Texas). He was just approved for disability and payments will start in October ($1000 a month). We are still pending SSI approval. I am still unemployed, on unemployment (+$2000 a month), paying for cobra with my savings ($1400 a month), of which I have about $10,000 left in my bank account, and we live with my parents now, so we have no living expenses. We are on a tight budget to stretch what we have.

He finished his master's degree right as he was diagnosed. He has about $95,000 in student loan debt. No other debt since he owns his car and we do not own a house. I have a car payment and owe about $12,000. He is very sick and can't work. He is a sculptor and works with metal and wood, which is now too much for him to do physically. So there is no way he can even begin to pay this debt. What do we even do to address the issue of his student loan debt?

Also, we would really like to get married. Are there any aspects of this we should consider? He doesn't want me to be on the hook for his debt. At the same time, getting married means a lot to us given the severity of the situation.
